Counselling Changes Lives.
Finding the right counsellor to work with is the first and most important step. You need to feel comfortable. You need to feel listened to, and understood. You need to feel accepted and in control of the process from start to finish. Aside from our qualifications and therapy options, there is only one way to find out if Alison or Paul are a good fit for your needs. We both offer a free initial thirty minute consultation session where you can chat confidentially to one of us face to face before making up your mind. What have you got to lose?

Group Therapy
We offer our services as facilitators for therapy and support groups. Please contact us for a free consultation if you represent a community or faith-based group interested in hosting our service.

Family Mediation
Family mediation differs from counselling as it follows a structured process for enabling separated couples to reach formal agreements focused on the co-parenting needs of their children.

Time to find your peace of mind?

Meet Alison Rodgers
Whether you are feeling worried, stressed, overwhelmed or grieving – I hope you decide to get in contact.
Whatever is happening or has happened in your life, within our sessions, you will have time to talk freely with the reassurance that you will be seen and listened to – all in a confidential setting, with compassion, respect and without judgement. I have expertise in bereavement, anxiety disorders, domestic abuse, coercive control, low self-esteem, and relationship issues.
Before qualifying as a Counsellor / Psychotherapist, I had a 30 year career in retail management. I blend my wealth of life experience with my therapeutic knowledge in a client-centred approach.
Working together we will strive to make sense of your thoughts, feelings and behaviours – discovering new ways for you to achieve change and find your peace of mind.

Meet Paul Rodgers
I am a qualified and experienced Counsellor/Psychotherapist. Before becoming a Counsellor, I worked in corporate IT, mainly in Team Management roles. I specialise in therapy for men, bringing a broad range of life skills and experience to issues such as: workplace stress, anger management, historic bullying, substance abuse, relationship issues, domestic abuse, health issues, and bereavement.
Do you have any questions for us?
Therapy provides a safe and confidential space for you to talk to a trained professional about your issues and concerns. Your therapist will help you explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviours so you can develop a better understanding of yourself and of others.
A counsellor will not prescribe solutions the way a doctor prescribes medication. They will help you find your own solutions – whether that’s making effective changes in your life or finding ways of coping with your problems. Most therapy takes place in planned, regular sessions which last for around one hour. How often you see your therapist and how many appointments you have will depend on your individual circumstances, and will be agreed between you and your therapist. Therapy isn’t only for mental health issues – it helps you navigate life.
